I preordered this from Best Buy (but I didn't create an account back then), so it won't show up verified. I watched through both movies. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The movie with Johnny Depp is as great as I remembered it to be when I watched it growing up (I have the original DVD). This particular movie doesn't have a good menu system like the old DVD though. The HD version is wonderful, and much higher quality than the original DVD. Also the sound was amazing (I don't know if this was just due to our home having poorer sound system or what). Very imaginative, and the CGI is really well done. You are really transported into a fantasy land of chocolate. This movie is wonderful. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory: The Gene Wilder movie was not that good. Unfortunately as someone who watched the original aspect ratio DVD, this particular copy has crop issues. The crop issues seems to be prevalent since 2009 judging from my research, and occurs on the 4K restoration as well. Parts of the original movie was cropped to make it widescreen, but unfortunately it was so poorly done, the actor's feet, heads, and even Willy Wonka's hat was cut off in many of the scenes and it was quite distracting. The parts of the movie before the chocolate factory doesn't seem to be restored, and is just cropped from the original. Only parts later in the film was restored, and you can also tell when the audio is restored and when it isn't. The studio should have just kept the original aspect ratio with the restoration, like they did with The Wizard of Oz. Case: The case it came with just sucked. It was a Viva Elite EcoCase. Those cases are not only made with brittle plastic, but has huge cutouts in them leaving the disc unprotected. Unfortunately if you decide to keep using the factory case, your disc will probably be rendered unplayable very soon, and the cover art will be ruined. I'm giving the product 3 stars because it is an ok price for 2 movies, but you'll have to get a replacement case for this collection.
