Xbox - 360 Refurbished 250GB Console (Matte Black)

4 Stars because the refurbished model worked for a few weeks. Then while playing Maden25, the machine error'd out "could not read disk" and the machine rebooted. This happened twice and I suspect this is why the machine is a refurbished item. In any case, touching the top of the console (which is in an open space), the top was very hot. Suspect this is an overheating issue. I opened the unit up (only because it was a refurb) and the fan was working but was very week. I mounted a PC Case fan modified with a USB plug to the top of the console and the system runs 10 times cooler. No issues since.

I haven't really had a lot of spare time over the past 7-8 years to sit down and play video games, but now I'm finding that I do occasionally have some free time & decided to look into a new system. This one was the perfect price for me, since I am a casual gamer and don't need the newest product on the market (which I saw carried a $500 price tag). The 360's been great since hooking it up. The HD graphics look amazing compared to my old PS2 & gameplay on everything I've been trying out has been super-smooth. The one thing I've noticed is that even just playing a game for 1-2 hours, the unit gets pretty hot, but the fan seems to regulate that well. All in all, I am glad I made this buy and would recommend it to anyone in the same situation I found myself in.

Leave it to Microsoft to make the X-1 (I like it but) so it cannot play 360 games. This refurbish 360 was a good replacement of broken 360 so my kids can continue to enjoy the $1000 plus dollars of games no longer usable in the X-1 platform (Microsoft.... some things never change!) Yes, for the friends that also are left holding thousands of dollars of games Microsoft chose to make obsolete, save repurchasing 1000's worth of games (once the refurbished 360's run out). **However, the better investment would be to put the thousands into a collage fund for your kids instead of investing thousands more in video games and/or Xbox's, another of Microsoft black holes!!!

I bought this when my old Xbox got the red ring of death. The only issue I've had was the power supply died a day after I brought it home. It's refurbished, so I'm sure it's something that Microsoft failed to check. I went back to the store and it was quite a hassle for them to simply replace the power supply. After about 2 hours of waiting, they finally gave me one from a used console that was traded in. Everything works great now. It's just like my old Xbox.

For the longest time, I refused to jump on the bandwagon & get a video game console. But with all the awesome games out now, I finally broke down and decided to get one. It was a big decision between Xbox or playstation. Both had great games and great reviews. What really had me choose Xbox over playstation though was I was already familiar with it. So many of my friends had Xbox consoles that I'd played, so I already knew how to use it. I also like the controllers of the Xbox better than the playstation. I didn't see the point in getting a new console though so I got this refurbished one. Works great. Plenty of hard drive space for how much I use it. Plenty of apps to use. I'm definitely loving my decision.

this game is awesome I enjoyed it so much you meet people all over the world enjoying laughing and talking with themas well as kicking their butts in the gamethe maker of this game was a complete geniusI don't know that make but I sure do think that maker for making this machine its awesome wonderfulpiece of equipment to playI would have to say everyone in my household has their own gameI am a grandmother who has my own game my children also have their own game my grandchildren also have your own game keeps us from fighting over this awesome piece of equipmentwe all do enjoy it yea much and I know that this is likewise over the world Thanks and you enjoy it too another wonderful day may God bless you

My kids enjoying this xbox .good quality and I believe it was a good price too. Easy to use and download games from the Internate , I would recommend this item for a friend .

My refurbished 250gig 360 is working great and I've got $50 extra in my pocket. The one I received had no noticable blemishes and worked fine out of the box. I do recommend buying one of the cheap Dynex HDMI cables for a better gaming experience versus the old red/white/yellow cables you are given.
