Q: do these come with a 3.5 mm plug and are they compatable with pcs
A: I don't own these but my assumption would be no... instead you would need a receiver or a DAC/Amp. You would connect the PC to the DAC/Amp or Receiver via USB. Then you would connect the DAC/Amp to the speakers using regular speaker wire. This would be a better set up than any computer speakers available.
Q: What is the best wall mount bracket for these speakers?
A: To be honest Best Buy does not sell a GOOD option for brackets for these speakers. I bought the largest brackets they sell, the Sanus WMS2, and they BARELY work. So, while you could use the WMS2, I would recommend looking elsewhere. The pictures do not do justice how big these bookshelf speakers are.
A: jmac, yes you will need some sort of amplifier to power the speakers. You will likely also need some kind of pre-amplifier to control volume and select input (CD Player). If you buy a receiver, they have amplifier and pre-amplifier in one unit, so this is often the most cost effective way to go. If you do not plan on upgrading to surround sound in the future, I recommend purchasing a stereo receiver like the Yamaha R-S202BL. Surround sound receivers are a bit more complex to configure so if you aren't going to get surround sound you might want to keep it simple. Hope this helps.
A: No, these speakers do not come with the wires.
Q: Will the speakers work on a six year old Visio television?
A: The speakers are not powered so you would need an amplifier.
Q: Will these speaker work on a 8 ohm system?
A: Yes, they will work fine on most any home stereo system with standard 8 ohm load requirements.
Q: are these speakers plug in or bare wire connectors
A: I used gold plated connectors with high gauge speaker wire. You can also use bare wire connectors
A: Ooohhh yeah. 140 watts gonna be hard to overload these. Closed box design, 3way so you here all of the music.
