A: It can be used in tent mode. And, depending on which way you insert the tablet into the hinge, a keyboard may or may not be visible. The back and sides of the tablet fit snugly into a shell which then can be inserted into a hinge on the keyboard. If you insert the screen facing the keyboard, you have access to the keyboard and it looks like a very small computer notebook. If you insert the screen facing away from the keyboard it easily can be used in tent mode which causes the keyboard to be inside the tent and not really functional. I use all these positions and have been pleased with the performance of the keyboard. It's made for an iPad Air and I am using it for my iPad Pro 9.7. Except for covering 2 of 4 speakers (the Air only has 2) with the shell, it fits perfectly and I have no complaints. If I was needing great audio, I would pop it out of the shell to expose the other speakers more.

Decent keyboard, so/so case
Positives: The keyboard is robust, all the keys function as advertised, battery life is phenominal, my iPad retains it's slim profile, and I can attach my smart stylus to the back. Cons: The keys require a good amount of pressure to register and the case has already chipped around the lightning port. Conclusion: I would still recommend this case as I found it to be the better of the keyboard/case combos for the iPad Air 2 in terms of both reliability and asthetics.

Keyboard is excellent, case/shell cheap & breaks
When I first bought this item it was really thin, which was great. But something had to be sacrificed in order for it to be that thin. In this case it was the case/shell for the iPad. It's a plastic shell which doesn't hold up. I'm not talking about accidentally dropping it or anything like that, I'm just talking about everyday normal use. The plastic at the bottom of the shell where you plug in the cord to charge your iPad began to crack, not even a week of normal use (Picture included). This is mainly due to a design flaw I believe. If you look carefully, there is a small indent of plastic that doesn't allow the iPad to be fully seated, thus causing the pressure of the iPad to force it to crack. Hopefully Zagg fixes this problem. Other than that, the keyboard is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and is amazing to use. It feels great and the keys are distributed evenly. It just feels natural to type, like an ordinary keyboard would feel like. There is no lag time from the time of typing till you see it on the screen. Battery life on it is also outstanding. It's also quite versatile as well. You can detach the iPad and place it in backwards and fold the keyboard in which is great because you'll have your keyboard handy when you do need it and won't misplace it. All in all, I do like this keyboard, just wish the shell was made more sturdy and the design flaw taken care of.

AWESOME!
Works great and easy to manage my iPad. Battery life awesome, didn't need to charge the case much.
