Q: Would this be a good computer for free games like paladin?
A: If they are web based games, yes. Chromebooks and Chromebase are different from standard laptop products in that they are designed to be used primarily while connected to the Internet, with most applications and documents living in the cloud. Because of this they don’t have much for on board storage but they also are not expensive either. If you need to use third party software applications that must be installed on the computer, this is likely not for you, where a Windows laptop would suit you better.
Q: Does it come with MS Office? Which one, if so?
A: It does not come with MS Office. This is an internet computer and as such does everything online. You can use Google docs online which are like stripped down(fast and easy to use) MS Office Applications. It also does not come with Windows which is why this machine is so fast and stable. If you absolutely have to have MS Office this is not the machine for you.
A: No, this unit does not come with a CD/DVD drive.
A: Yes, you can download programs from the internet onto this PC.
Q: Does this computer have built in speakers and a camera to be able to stream and do work demos?
A: Yes this product have built in speakers and a camera.
Q: Does it come with Word and excel?
A: No. This computer does not have a hard drive, it has a 16 GB solid state drive and Chrome OS, not windows, so Word and Excel cannot be installed. However, like any computer, you have access to Google "DOCS" for word processing, spreadsheets and presentations and a lot more. All the MS files convert to google files.
Q: Does this Chromebase run Android apps?
A: No, this unit does not support Android apps at this time but an update is planned to allow for them to become compatible.
