    Good for those with hearing or visual impairments

    The phone is helpful as the numbers are large and the Boost button amplifies sound. White on black makes the numbers easy to see. The only issue is that the phone uses digital tech to access the directory, remove messages or the call log, etc. Elderly people who need the phone find this way too complicated especially if they are not tech savvy. Still the phone is a good choice if someone else helps and does the tech part.

    Great for older adults

    My dad is hard of hearing and this phone is perfect. The volume can be increased and then there is a boost bottom to even increase more. It also has 5 memory button's so we can store important numbers so he doesn't have to remember them.

    Excellent voice quality

    High quality corded system. Not for everyone, but if you have need for a corded bases station with wireless extension this system has high quality.

  • Do you have to have caller ID service with your phone company to have caller ID on that phone

    I believe you have to have the service from the phone company for the caller ID to be indicated on the phone. The caller ID is shown on our phone but we have the service.

  • Does this unit have talking caller ID? How large is the display screen on the base unit?

    Yes it does have taking callers ID. The display is twice the size of a regular handheld at the base unit. Works for me fine.
