Elgato - 4K S – Ext Capture 4K60, 1440p120/1080p240 Passthrough and Capture for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, PC, Mac, iPad - Black

Stopped into the Best Buy South loop in Chicago— I ordered head so I wouldn’t have to wait in line or shop around. I knew what I wanted. I used PayPal to finance my purchase, so it would be cheaper today. Although I ordered ahead, I had to wait in line because they were doing all of their returns first rather than focusing on the line that was starting behind me. Kept getting moved around even after my cashier was grabbing my items. Highly frustrating. Anyway. I got my items, and got home to set it up. It’s a pain to set up with OBS. not going to lie. The elgato app doesn’t do much and is for recording actual footage and this model atleast does not let you record audio. You need to troubleshoot every time you boot on OBS. deleting the audio profile to program it from elgato again and then monitor your audio in the settings. It’s very repetitive. It only helped me play my switch and being able to get my output to my laptop to my monitor. Now I can shiny hunt for my friends on discord with this elgato software and technology. It’s very niche and something I wish I had a long time ago.

Love the product. Work as it is supposed to. Easy to setup and good for streamer especially if you are new to it. Quality product with great service. Got the last one at store and working good. The only thing I recommend is buying a audio capture to in you want to get quality audio and no problem with headphones and obs

This was the best upgrade to my set up no lag good quality and was easy to set up. Now my son can stream his games like he always wanted to

I use the Elgato 4K S to bring my PS5 gameplay into my PC streaming setup for YouTube. Having console gameplay in the same setup as my other content is the biggest benefit for me. I also appreciate the compact external design—it fits alongside my other equipment without needing to install a card inside my computer. It serves a practical purpose in my content creation setup, and I’d recommend it to console players looking to start recording or streaming their gameplay.

Bought to record ps5 gameplay/stream through my laptop. Integrated smoothly and doesn’t take up much desk space. 10/10 would recommend for a starting streamer or if you want to record gameplay at a higher res.
