About this product
The Nero XMAX11 is a flagship 11-channel Class A/B power amplifier engineered for dedicated Dolby Atmos and DTS:X surround systems. This is a purpose-built power amplifier rather than an AVR replacement, designed to deliver sustained output across all 11 channels simultaneously without current limiting, channel starvation or thermal compression. An oversized 2.3kVA toroidal transformer with extensive energy storage maintains headroom during demanding cinematic peaks. The front left, center and right channels are rated at 310W each into 4 ohms and 210W each into 8 ohms, while the eight surround and height channels deliver 135W each into 4 ohms and 85W each into 8 ohms, all channels driven. Identical components and signal paths across every channel keep timbre consistent as objects pan around an immersive soundstage. Frequency response spans 5Hz to 50kHz, signal-to-noise measures 110dB at rated power and 12V trigger integration handles automated system control. Backed by a 5-year warranty.
AVSForum Top Choice 2026 Award Winner
Independently reviewed and awarded AVSForum Top Choice 2026, the XMAX11 was validated for real-world performance, build quality and stability in immersive surround systems. The recognition reflects measured results in working home theaters rather than bench figures for a single channel in isolation.
All 11 Channels Driven, No Compression
Continuous RMS output with all channels driven is 310W x3 at 4 ohms and 210W x3 at 8 ohms for the front LCR, plus 135W x8 at 4 ohms and 85W x8 at 8 ohms for surrounds and heights. The amplifier holds these figures under sustained load instead of collapsing when every channel demands power at once.
2.3kVA Toroidal Transformer and Energy Storage
An oversized 2.3kVA toroidal transformer paired with a large filter capacitor bank supplies the current reserve needed for cinematic peaks. Twenty-eight total output devices and 18 amps maximum current across all channels give the amplifier the grip to control large or inefficient speakers at reference volume.
Matched Channels for Accurate Object Panning
Unlike multi-channel amplifiers that use different circuits for surround and height channels, the XMAX11 applies identical components, signal paths and output stages across every channel. Objects panning through the Atmos or DTS:X soundstage keep consistent tonality instead of shifting character between speakers.
Reference Measurements and 5-Year Warranty
Frequency response spans 5Hz to 50kHz (+0/-3dB), signal-to-noise ratio measures 110dB at rated power and 105dB at 1 watt, and crosstalk stays above 70dB from 20Hz to 20kHz. Gain is 28dB with 1V input sensitivity and 100K ohm input impedance. 12V trigger integration and a 5-year warranty.
