A: No additional wires should but needed... BUT If you plan to stream your music using Sonos, know that the Sonance Amp does NOT allow you to stream without adding a Sonos component. You will need a Sonos Port (formerly Sonos Connect, but those are being phased out) on each channel. So 6 in all if you want the ability to separate all 6 pairs of speakers in terms of music play and volume. If you don't mind grouping some of them, you can get away with fewer. The alternative is buy Sonos Amps instead of the Sonance Amp. They serve as both an amplifier and a streaming device. You can also connect 4 speakers to one Amp. It really depends on how you plan to use the speakers in terms of their locations. Both devices (Port and Amp) come equipped with Apple Airplay as well.

Q: Can you connect 14 speakers to sonampn12-50?
A: I have 18 speakers attached to my Marantz.
A: There is no noise from this amp. No fan running.. or if so, I don't hear it.
