I am no expert on monitors, but I have been around them for the last 30 years. This one is used by my wife (a retired 24+year intel employee) for her daily retirement computer activities. I finally got her watching some TV broadcasts with it, she couldn't believe the clarity and color! The monitor replaced a 15+ year old Gateway with VGA. So, the picture is really fantastic! We found a couple of 4K demos to view and we were both amazed. The unit was packaged very well with the Viewsonic packing and arrived without any damage. Now for the downsides: 1) The cables provided are very interesting. An HDMI to HDMI, a USB 3A to USB 3B and a DisplayPort to mini displayport. We are using the HDMI to HDMI and all is good. I am still not sure what to do with the USB cable. I suppose I could set the monitor up as a USB hub, but the USB ports are not easily accessible for day to day plugin/plugout operations. 2. The monitor controls are hidden buttons on the bottom of the front edge of the screen. You have to first look for them and then after you know where they are, you can feel for them. It would be nice if there was some way to tell what the buttons do before you press them. We will probably take a silver marker and mark them for reference. I rate this monitor as a highly recommended (with the caveat that I don't have a lot of experience with other monitors except for my limited internet research.)

I have two 32 inch ViewSonic Monitors and needed another monitor for a smaller workspace. I have been pleased with the 32 inch monitors and thought the 28 inch would be worth the try. It has been great with very good quality resolution and color. It has a variety of options for connecting the display which is nice. The viewing size is very nice and I like the design of the stand for both stability and smaller footprint vs some other designs I have seen.

Bought this as an anniversary gift for my boyfriend since he has started editing more video. Wanted a true 4K monitor and that’s exactly what I got. The picture is beyond great and he absolutely loves it.
