Donkey Kong Country Realness
If the original Yooka-Laylee was an homage to Banjo-Kazooie, this goes ever further back to Donkey Kong Country for snes. The visuals are great, colorful and full of little details and the music, oh the music is so good! I'm not giving 5 stars just because it can be really hard, as it should being a retro platformer, and it's not a game to casually play. You need to invest at least a weekend to sharp up your skills in order to beat it. For the price, I would call this a must buy for this season and a great gift for your contemporary gamers or your "true gamer" uncle.

fun platformer
The is a fun platformer, very similar to Donkey Kong Country games, graphics are nice, and it runs well on the PS4. A bit tougher than I expected though.

Tough 2D platformer but one of the best
I wasn't sure what to expect with this one going into it but I was very surprised at how almost every bit of it was well executed. Levels were challenging but fun, music was phenomenal, and exploring the over world was pretty good too. I wouldn't recommend this to people not up for a bit of a challenge, especially the last level, but if you're up for the challenge, you will be rewarded with good music and a fun time
