Viper remote
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.A must have! The original in the box with the Viper remote start kit is one-way. This remote is two-way it sends you both a visual “flashing green light” and audible “chirp” to indicate that the vehicle has started or shut off.

Good unit.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This was a replacement for the same one that had died. It lasted about four years but because I am an auto technician, it got put through a lot. From chemical spills to tools hitting it and insane drops…it took a lot. So, it’s been great. Side note, Best Buy tried hard to make me set up an appointment with an installer to pair it to the car (remember, its a replacement remote.) Said, you can’t do it yourself….even got offended when I said anyone can, it’s right in the user instructions. I dont mind buying at Best Buy, but I have no use for anyone even remotely connected to geek squad. They always know more than i do, i rarely find they do.

Q: Questionwhat does 2way remote mean? thanks.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer A One Way remote has no feedback to the remote. You push start and unless you can see or hear the car you hope it starts. A Two Way remote transmits back to the remote and indicates that it received the command and has started. Some have cool LCD screens that transmit other data back to your remote like the temperature inside the car, the voltage, or other information. Two way can also tell you if your car door is locked or unlocked. Very worth the money for me.

Q: QuestionDoes Best Buy install car alarms ,and how does the installation cost

Q: QuestionDoes this remote charge? I’ve had the same system for 3 years and had to replace my remote. I dropped it off and picked it up from the front desk so they couldn’t explain. I just notice a micro USB location that is new from the previous remote.
Asked by HummerH3.
- A:Answer Yes, the micro usb is for charging. It says it comes with a cable, but I didn't get one with mine. I just plug it into my laptop when needed. If you want to know how charged up it is, press the function button above the usb port 5 times and it will show you how many leds worth of charge you have. A charge lasts a long time. You can download a manual for this remote at the Viper website.

Q: QuestionI just purchased a 2016 corolla without an alarm system. Would this remote suffice for an alarm system as well as a remote starter? Also, after remotely starting vehicle, how will putting key into ignition to drive affect vehicle?
Asked by Dee.
- A:Answer You will need to have a Viper alarm/remote start system that is compatible with the remote then you should not have any problem. Please check the model of both items to make sure they are compatible. For second question. Once you remotely start, you will need to insert your keys and turn it to ON position. DO NOT TURN TO START CAR. Just turn it to the ON position and you are good to go.
