Powerful and sleek in a compact package
Powerful for its size which is nice. It is compact but still able fit a regular size dinner plate. Boils water super fast. I like the sleek, clean, streamlined appearance. The inside is darker and a nice deep gray, not white (which I never liked) and the turntable is cleverly designed, no wobbling at all. The selection pad is inside the closed door with minimal controls accessible from outside, which is pretty ingenious. Stop/clear, +30/Start and the +/ - minutes buttons are located on the outside with the quick select choices inside. It runs extremely quiet and the end tone isn’t a horrible beep, it’s more melodic. I like it much better. I was looking for a small microwave to fit a specific area, all I could find were lower powered ones. I found this one which appears to have everything I wanted and the size is perfect for smaller spaces. It has cooked everything I’ve tried, faster than my previous one too. This is my first LG small appliance, I’ve been told they are pretty good, and I am hopeful this will continue to perform well and for a long time. I would recommend this to my friends, and I would certainly buy another if I had the need. Price was about the same if not better than others in this size range that offered less features and less power. BestBuy delivered as promised and that went perfectly.

Good but not great!
On the plus side, this was on sale for a pretty good price. The oven is sleek looking. In the short time I’ve had it, the inverter technology seems to heat more evenly. It’s quite powerful at 1000 watts versus the 800 watt unit it replaces, although so far I still have it, so now I have 2 microwaves in my small nyc apt lol. On the down side, although the interior is larger, my visionware pots which have handles do NOT fit in it! Well, they fit, until the turntable starts turning and the handle gets stuck! My old unit is smaller, but lacks a turntable so my pots fit better in a smaller space! Not happy about that. The only controls you can set without opening the door is the +30 seconds button, which is flush with the surface, and doesn’t always engage when pressed. It seems to do better with a thumb vs index finger but it’s annoying. There’s also a “slide” button where you swipe to increase or decrease time, marked with - or +. But it’s also flush, and not terribly responsive. Setting it for 6 minutes and 20 seconds is a slow process compared with a number keypad where you just push 620. There are more controls once you open the door, but still no keypad! I think this is a terrible design! The door covers the entire front of this oven, so it needs lots of clearance! And, it opens to a 90 degree angle and no further...it is made of plastic and feels like it could snap off if handled roughly. Or, you could snap a finger on the I’ll-conceived handle when opening it quickly. These shortcomings have become more apparent the more I use it of course, and while I’m not unhappy with it, it really hasn’t been an upgrade for me except for the converter and the slight power increase. Like anything else, I’ll adjust to its quirks and may learn to appreciate it lol. At least I still have my trusty old microwave where my pots fit!

Attractive and works well
Our old microwave finally died, and we needed a new one immediately. There's just the two of us, so we needed a small microwave. I picked this LG out on the Best Buy app, drove to Best Buy, and they brought it out immediately (curbside). We have several other LG things (stove, TV, clothes dryer) and so we like the quality of the LG brand. The size was perfect. It is very attractive looking. It is easy to set. It can only be set in 10-second increments for under 3 minutes, and only in 30-second increments for cooking times over 3 minutes. I thought I would miss that 7 second heat- up of a cookie, but 10 seconds is just fine. You can hold your finger down, or slide your finger on the little dots from left to right, to increase the cooking time quickly, or just keep tapping. There are a lot of settings, but honestly, we cook everything on high power. The turntable works smoothly. It plays a cute melody when the time is up. I press a little on the top with one hand, to pull the door open with my other hand. The interior is so easy to clean, with the stainless steel interior. My only complaint is that to change the clock (for daylight savings day), you have to unplug the microwave, and plug it in again, to get the clock commands. I really like it.
