A: Withings has just announced that the Scanwatch has finally obtained FDA approval, including approval of the ECG and oxymeter. It is supposed to be available in the US in November.
Q: Does it take blood pressure? If not, is there a hack to make it do blood pressure?
A: It does not take blood pressure but does check your BPM.
A: Only the 42mm Black has the glow in the dark finish on the watch hands, the 42mm White and 38mm Black / White versions are just silver / chrome.
Q: does it monitor heart flutter?
A: I am not sure. To see that you will need access to the reports, from what I understand that are only available thru a monthly subscription. The ECG feature only takes a one minute snapshot and gives you one of three or four grades. I wanted overnight O2 and ECG as well, but the website does not make the fact that a subscription is needed to access/use some of the features.
Q: Do you have to pay a subscription, to use the features? or to use this watch.
A: Yes and no. Most of the features are available with the watch and free app. But if you want to view historical data or see reports or share those reports with your doctor, you will need the subscription to do that
