WATCH SOMETHING ELSE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The film is not very good at all. Very boring first half leads to a decent last half. The blu-ray does look and sound great. There is an alternate version of the film as a special feature and a commentary that bored me to tears.

80s Horror Cheese
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Who would have thought we would finally get 976-EVIL on Blu-Ray! The transfer is very well done and is a significant upgrade over the DVD. There are just two extras, an alternate cut that is presented in standard def but enjoyable as it's a reminder of watching the movie on VHS originally. The second extra is a commentary with Robert Englund. My copy did not come with a slipcover but that's ok as the movie is well worth the purchase price.

Cheesy but fun horror
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie is not great by any means but it's the 80's horror that I just love and directed by Robert England also has Evil Ed from the original Fright Night. Plus it's on Blu-Ray so it has a nice clear picture compared to the old VHS quality we had when this movie first came out.

Great release of a fun 80's horror film
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's nice to see Sony release some of their more obscure library titles - they usually license these out to Mill Creek. Sony put some love into this release - the packaging has been designed to replicate the look of a tattered VHS tape box. Great video and audio.

Freddy directs!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Robert Engulnds directorial debut, went under the radar for a lot of fans. While not perfect, 976-Evil certainly delivers. Too bad Engulnd hasn't directed more features, he without definitely would have excelled.

Robert Englund Directs 976-Evil
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stephen Geoffreys stars in this late 80's supernatural tale. Basically a high school tough guy lives with his nerdy cousin and religious aunt. His cousin calls a horrorscope hot line and meets a hellish guy named Mark Dark. He is given powers to destroy his tormentors. So this is similar to Marc Price in Trick Or Treat from 1986. The ending is a steal from Poltergeist. With great effects and makeup by Kevin Yagher. Sandy Dennis, Maria Rubell, and Jim Metzler also star. Best Buy sold this for $12.99 on Blu-Ray with two different versions available. The theatrical and alternate home video version.

Another video store classic comes to blu
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hadn't seen this one in years. Movie is still kind of fun despite being very dated by everything from the title to the hair-do's. Great looking transfer, a nice Halloween treat.

Hidden horror gem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am biased as this film was directed across the street from my house. I met Robert England who directed this movie. This is a fun little horror gem from the 80's and 90's.
