Q: My new dock does not charge the iPhone; all it does is hold the phone upright. Surely it was designed to be more than a propper-upper? I've tried several cords, sockets and two computers. No dice.

A: I have the same dock and it works well, charge and download/upload, with my SE. It doesn’t seem to work completely with my XR. With the XR it will only charge, not always allow for download/upload. For you, make sure you plus the device in fully (check to see if any case etc is interfering with the dock) and unlock the phone. You should get a message asking you to trust the device or not. If you don’t, then it will be an expensive stand. Hope this helps.

Charges AirPods, iPod, & I Phone, replaces loose lightning cable & regain USB port. Expensive but worth it!

Not necessary, but not bad either?
It's a quality product, no doubt... but is it necessary? I'm not sure. It's tiny, and doesn't include a charging cable - you'd think for $50 they'd include one... it's just a small metal puck with a lightening connection sticking out... It's a nice product, and seems very durable... but I think it's over priced.

Seems expensive
I love this product but I think it can be less expensive. Still bought it and love it. Looks sleek on my end table.
