I put off switching to Mac for WAYY too long!
|Posted .Dan from Best Buy in Saratoga Springs, NY helped me find a super powerful new PC when I crashed my last one in October, he was super knowledgeable, very patient, a great teacher & just an all around cool guy. He convinced me to invest in a laptop that could keep up with me instead of just getting a bargain baseline model that I’d have to replace in 10-12 months. I left Best Buy with a monster of a 16" PC w/ Intel Core i7, 12GB Memory and a 512GB Solid State Drive. That’s A LOT of PC, it was massive, clunky & grey of course. It was on sale & an open box item so all in it was around $900, less than a base model MacBook but still about 3 times my typical laptop budget. After 8 hours of syncing & customizing I realized it felt the same as my old computer because it was running the same exact OS. It just didn’t feel like I got any real value or marked improvement for the extra money. So I factory reset it & brought it back to the store less than 24 hours later. Dan kind of chuckled at me & walked me to the Apple aisle. He had explained probably 20 different PC models to me the day before & it got confusing trying to remember which was which even though they all basically looked & felt about the same. I apologized for being a high maintenance customer but he didn’t seem to mind helping me find the perfect new laptop, he seems to enjoy his job. So basically there are like 3 options for Mac laptops, what a switch from the rows of PCs that all basically worked the same way but had a bunch of different specs to understand. It’s a little unnerving honestly. Like here they are, here are the simple differences between them, here are the prices, pick one. Simple; expensive, but simple. I wanted to stay in the same price range so I went with a 13" MacBook Air with 8GB Memory & 128GB HD that was on sale for $899. Talk about a HUGE difference in "power" between this MacBook & the Monster PC I was returning for about the same price. The MacBook felt like it was a toy compared to the hefty PC. It’s super slim, light, a shiny metallic silver, slippery & cool to the touch because it’s actually a metal casing & a markedly minimalistic appearance. Apple doesn’t paste bright stickers on the keyboard boasting about hardware, the cords are perfectly coiled in the box & THE BOX by the way…it’s like an expensive jewelry box, when you slide the top off you immediately feel kind of excited. All Apple accessories are packaged the same & I bought them all. They are pricey, but they are AWESOME. Basically, while it was definitely a bit of work to get to know my MacBook, I literally couldn’t be happier with the switch. It’s magical. I ended up returning that model & trading up to a 256GB HD for $1099 on sale. I’m good about using cloud services but 128GB really is kind of like a Memory card when it comes down to it & I needed just a little more cushion room for performance. I backup to an external drive & use SD cards for extra space when needed. I admit that’s a bit of a pain & an extra expense that I wouldn’t incur with the big PC but probably an average personal laptop user wouldn’t need the space I use for high res graphics. I’m not exactly sure what I’m missing out on between the Air & a MacBook Pro but I don’t ever have a problem. I don’t even know what the equivalent of alt-ctrl-delete is on Mac because I’ve never needed it. Bottom line: it’s totally worth the price & while you may spend more on a Mac you will feel & see the difference in price. Its a higher end experience & you just don’t get the same feeling from a pricey PC. Thanks Dan & Best Buy for helping me make the switch this year, it was a SERIOUS Life Upgrade.

Great laptop for both personal & professional use!
|Posted .My son finally convinced me to go Apple when I began shopping for a new laptop. I needed something versatile and portable that would work for me in business, home and a degree completion program. The MacBook Air has been great and the transition has been much easier than I anticipated. I would highly recommend this laptop to anyone and it certainly appears to be living up to the reputation of the reviews I read prior to my purchase.

Targus 13" Laptop Sleeve
|Posted .This item caught my attention because although it can be described as unisex, it is masculine enough for my taste. It's design is simple - matte black nylon with a leather accent around one of the diamond contours in the corner. The inside is soft and provides a snug fit for my 13". I haven't dropped my MacBook, but if I did while it were in this sleeve, I would bet it would be well protected... I'm not willing to test that theory though.

Great laptop!
|Posted .A solid laptop if you need something mainly for daily office tasks (Microsoft Office, emails, Adobe, Skype, remote access). Laptop run smoothly. Lightweight with impressive battery life. The screen resolution is crystal clear with strong backlight for outdoor use. Keyboard is responsive. The only downside is that you have to purchase additional dongles because there isn't enough ports.

Great Option for Basic Needs and Some Fun!
|Posted .I primarily use my MacBook Air for screenwriting and email. It works flawlessly for these applications. But I'm also able to play games like Hearthstone with no lag. I've also used it to run InDesign CC for graphic design. That operates best only if it's the only app open. It's an all-around great machine for basic use.

Q: QuestionWhat does flash storage mean? How is this different than memory on the hard drive, like the PC's descriptions?
Asked by TazySmurf.
- A:Answer Standard Hard Drives are mechanical. They are most often much slower than SSD drives. The only down side to an SSD drive is price. They are more expensive but with it! Go for it.

Q: QuestionHello, I have a question, If I pay with my credit card but I need an invoice with another's person name is it possible?? since my dad wants the invoice with his name but the credit card which I will be paying is mine?? is that possible? thanks!
Asked by MDDR.
- A:Answer If you purchase at the store, the name on the credit card will appear on the receipt when you swipe the card (your name) and your dad's name will not appear. If you purchase online, they will require two names. The name of the billing address and shipping address. The billing address should be you since you're paying for it and the shipping address can be anyone. But if you're asking for a way to show your dad paying for it on the receipt or invoice. There's really no way especially since you are paying by credit card, the name on the credit card will show up automatically.
