So far I'm loving it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super fast charging compared to my other MB Pro's it seems. Aside from that I purchased it for video editing and it shines with that. Can not only import from my GoPro way faster most likely due to the USB C ports but, also renders the edits much much faster than my Mid 2015 MC Pro that is higher rated processor. Just wish I could get a larger screen like my first MBP with a 17" monitor. Also the new TouchPad is much much larger and has a better feedback feel to it. PS the Touch Bar is more useful than I ever thought it could be!

OMG--Finally a Laptop to Love
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned laptops for more than 25 years. FINALLY--a laptop to love. Live and learn. Buy enough memory. Buy enough storage. Could not resist this Best Buy deal. $1000 off ! The new 16" came out the very next day. WHO CARES? Best Buy offered a GREAT PRICE and the advice of the team member was spot-on for my needs. Truly a BEST BUY !

The best computer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gave up on my last Windows based machine in 2011. Highly frustrated. I made the leap to my first MacBook Pro and I have never looked back. This new MacBook Pro has a great number of improvements. I like the Touch Bar and the greatly increased speed. My relationship with the new keyboard design is still being worked out, but it is ok. I certainly will remain loyal to Apple and Mac for years to come.

An expensive purchase but quite worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This MacBook model has a stunning 15 inch display, great for movies and all, also, having that 32gb memory and i9 processor provides excellent performance and speed. The Touch Bar is to die for and is convenient at times needed.

I love it.
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The las MacBook Pro I had lasted over eight years before the hard drive started to act up. The only things I miss are not having all of the plugs and slots it the sides. I hade some trouble with the energy saver. It would flash white on the screen when playing Netflix. It stopped after I had turned it off.

Not impressed. At all.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned 2 other 15" macbooks before this one. My 2012 macbook is much more efficient. I hate that the charging port isn't magnetic anymore, and that there is no light indicator on it to show if the charge is full. I hate using the stupid dongle that I had to purchase separately on Amazon. It's not at all convenient, in terms of remembering to pack it with the laptop when you're on the go, or even carrying aroundthe house, dangling on the side. Several times this laptop has frozen when I first opened it up to use. I've had to wait for the mouse to catch up and start moving around. Battery drains quick as my 2012 battery, which has never been replaced. I bought this because it was $500 off and wanted a backup laptopfor photo editing. I don't know that it was worth the price, or if I just got a defective one.

Excellent high end Mac Book Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lots of performance with this Mac Book Pro. Apple did an excellent job with the look and feel of this laptop. It also handles running two virtual machines simultaneously with no performance loss.

Q: QuestionIs this the 2018 or 2019 model? Is it the one with the severe thermal throttling issues?
Asked by Farah.
- A:Answer It is the 2018 version which I didn’t know upon purchase since the online description doesn’t say that. Supposedly, Apple fixed the thermal throttling with an update to High Sierra. I have had my laptop near a month and I’ve done lightroom, Photoshop, and edited an hour long movie on top of normal use, all with no throttle issues. All in all, I’m very satisfied with the purchase and would recommend.

Q: QuestionDoes it have the capacity to be upgraded to a 64GB Memory?
Asked by Nick.
- A:Answer Hi. I don't believe so. Please reference iFixit.com. They are spot on with determining upgradability for various tech. This is a great computer. I use it with a dual monitor setup and I also have parallels running a virtual windows machine simultaneous to multiple other programs. I don't notice any lag at all. Good Luck.
