Q: Is this the 2018 or 2019 model? Is it the one with the severe thermal throttling issues?
A: It is the 2018 version which I didn’t know upon purchase since the online description doesn’t say that. Supposedly, Apple fixed the thermal throttling with an update to High Sierra. I have had my laptop near a month and I’ve done lightroom, Photoshop, and edited an hour long movie on top of normal use, all with no throttle issues. All in all, I’m very satisfied with the purchase and would recommend.

A: Hi. I don't believe so. Please reference iFixit.com. They are spot on with determining upgradability for various tech. This is a great computer. I use it with a dual monitor setup and I also have parallels running a virtual windows machine simultaneous to multiple other programs. I don't notice any lag at all. Good Luck.
