Powerhouse Laptop for Gaming and Productivity!
Picked up the ROG Strix G18 recently, and it’s exceeded my expectations in almost every way. The 18” 2.5K 240Hz display is gorgeous—super smooth and crisp, perfect for fast-paced games and multitasking. The AMD Ryzen 9 HX paired with the RTX 5070 tears through everything I throw at it, from AAA games to virtualization and even a few creative workloads. Thermals are well-managed for such a powerful machine, and the build quality feels premium. The keyboard has great travel and RGB lighting looks awesome without being too flashy. I plan to upgrade the RAM and storage later, but even out of the box, it’s a beast.

One of the best valued 18" gaming laptop!
Fantastic value for a 18 laptop rtx 5070 under $1800 (sale price). What u get is : 1) premium build quality and a bright 500 nits IPS nebula 2k screen 2) rtx 5070 ...will run any game at 1440p at high settings in CoD-7 and BF6 3) good build quality ...no major flex on large keybaord and mouse and very good cooling system I upgraded from a more premium asus 14" zepyrus and I love the 18" screen. The zeyrprus had oled screen but the IPS nebula is still bright enough even for rooms with ambient lighting. The RBG lights are a nice touch.....18" means u have nice spacing on the keyboard so very easy to type. This is a full desktop replacement. The only downsides is the build-in speakers are only average (zepyrus has the BEST speakers to date). But play around with Dolby settings and u can get it decent. Or just use headphones. To date, I've played COD7, BF6, Elden Ring and currently Ghost Of Tsushima which looks gorgeous on the 18" nebula display. This model comes with 16gb RAM but so far, I haven't had the need where the gfx vram ran out in games. At 1440p, this laptop can handle any game at high/ultra setting with very good FPS. And if u ever need to upgrade RAM or throw in a new SSD drive, it's super easy as the Strix line is meant for user friendly upgrades. For a 18" laptop, it's not too heavy either and will fit larger 17" laptop backpacks. Highly recommend for a mid tier premium 18" laptop.

Powerful 18″ beast — games, work & more!
I recently got the ASUS ROG Strix G18, and I’m really impressed — this laptop is a beast both for gaming and everyday use. Right out of the box it handled everything I threw at it. The 18" 2.5K (2560 × 1600) screen with 240 Hz refresh rate delivers incredibly smooth, sharp visuals — motion in fast games looks fluid and clean, and the colors are vivid. The performance meets expectations (and more): with the Ryzen‑9 CPU + NVIDIA RTX 5070 GPU the system stays responsive even under heavy load. Games, video editing, multitasking — all work flawlessly. I also appreciate that SSD storage and fast RAM make loading programs and files nearly instant. Physically, the laptop feels sturdy and well‑built. It’s large — but that also means it’s more like a portable desktop: perfect if I want maximum power without building a desktop PC. The cooling works quite well for a powerful gaming machine (though fans become noticeable under load). In everyday life — browsing, streaming, work tasks — it’s smooth and fast. And when I switch to games — the full potential becomes obvious: high frame rates, stable performance, vivid graphics, minimal lag. If someone is looking for a gaming laptop that can also handle creative tasks, work, or heavy multitasking — this Strix G18 is an excellent choice. I’m very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.
