Great turntable but needs experienced set up

Look.... I know this stuff. I know turntables from the time they were practically invented of any sophistication in the 1960's. This is a superb product for the cost. The Cartridge I doubt is superb but it will do. I ordered this once and found the software to be absolutely NOT plug in and play. The turntable is NOT plug in and play. It is a sophisticated piece of machinery and not a toy so do not expect to just plug and play. NOOOOOOO. far from it. This is a cool and technical piece of equipment and best you get a old dad or even granddad to help with it. Other than that good luck. I ordered once and took it back. Now I have ordered it twice and will give it another go. I have a superb Garrard SL95B turntable that takes a while to warm up. But I got sick of that and decided to spend what amounts to a STEAL at this price for this turntable. With free shipping give it a go. But you must have patience setting this dude up. Turntables of this caliber are no joke.

I've only had the turntable for a little over a day but so far I like it, although I'm a little disappointed in the seeming flimsiness of the unit as a whole. The needle arm *seems* a bit on the easy to break side as do the buttons. The case also seems less than sturdy, but none of those issues affect the sound quality at all. If you take care of the turntable you will be happy with the sound that comes out of it. For $129 the sound quality is excellent. I've put on quite a few old records (including a 1967 Beatles album) and they all sound fantastic. Way better than I expected to get with a turntable at this price. Overall the sound quality tops every other concern I had about the turntable and I would recommend it if you are looking to spin up your records again but don't need or want an expensive turntable but still want quality sound, this is a really good buy.

I saw the price of the other version (without USB) reach 99 so I called bestbuy to purchase but it wasn't available so instead they gave me this USB version for the same price. Great deal. I bought it hooked up to my marantz receiver. Went online to read about the line/phono output, subwoofer output from reciever etc., took me few hours but once I figured out, it's been great. This is my first turntable. I'm glad I read reviews from here, Amazon, turntable blogs and few audiophile sites before buying it. I'm looking to add a behringer or Pyle phone pre amp to boost up the sound even more. It's not necessary but just for curiosity sake.

Note that you cannot use BOTH the turntables built-in phono preamplifier and an external phono preamplifier at the same time. If you are looking to boost the sound, select an external phono preamplifer that has more gain than the built-in preamplifer, which is 36 db. Choose a model that provides at least 6 dB more gain to notice any increase in volume. To bypass the turntable's built-in phono preamplifier, place the preamp selector switch on the rear of the turntable in the PHONO position. AudioTechnica

Got this as a replacement for Crosley which I got as a gift. The other record player was scary to use because it made my new records skip. I wanted to listen to my records without destroying them. I decided on this one even though it didn't come with speakers. This is super easy to use! I decided I didn't want to spend money on new speakers so I got myself a $25 Bluetooth transmitter to use one of my Bluetooth speakers. Works perfectly!

This unit is compact in size with a clear dust cover that allows dust free playing of your vinyls. Comes with an Audacity software CD but I downloaded the latest version from their website and it works flawlessly with Windows 10. Some assembly required but pretty simple. Includes adapters for any receiver input configuration.

Be advised that this product does not copy directly to CD as advertised. It does NOT have a CD as stated in the description. The false marketing of this turntable made my purchase a hassle, but for regular use it works just fine.

Not a lot technical about an old school turntable. The only thing I noticed was the unit was not as pictured. The turntable mat is a different design than pictured. I wanted the one pictured but mine only has the logo, not the brand name.

This USB digital turntable is well made, with exceptional quality, to include software that exceeded my expectations. Sales associate assistance was great.
