As a software engineer, I bought it for my home studio. Most importantly, the amount of glare from this screen is much lower than anything I've seen before, apart from the ridiculously expensive Apple Pro Display. It also have adaptive brightness and mild backside light, which "integrate" it better into my room throughout the day. My only complaint is that the automatic brightness in the mode that I use has a glitch that it makes the monitor too bright after it wakes up from sleep. It takes a few button presses to work around the glitch and then it's good to go, but it's a bit annoying. Other than that, the monitor is awesome!
