Q: Does this support a back-up camera?
A: Yes, it has everything needed for a backup camera. The BE7ACP-C includes the camera for $20 more. The camera can be wired in different ways. Mine comes on automatically when my truck is in reverse and I can also activate the camera at any time using on-screen controls.
A: It said free installation on the website.
A: There's an outlet for it. It does say Bluetooth but I'm kinda confused on that.
Q: Can you hook up a gps to this device
A: It has Android and Apple Play so if you have navigation access on your phone, you can connect your phone to the unit (using the cord that is provided) and mirror your navigation program onto the display.
A: Metra 95-7862 Dash Kit Is recommended, it likely will look out of place without the trim kit
Q: Will this support an iPhone 12 Pro?
A: Yes, it works fine with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I've also used it with an iPhone 8 Plus and my wife's iPhone X.
A: The BOSS BE7ACP Elite has CarPlay and will work with your Tacoma's back up camera, however, you'll need to buy an adapter harness like the Crux SWRTY-61N or something similar to retain the OEM back up camera's functionality because most aftermarket head units use an RCA connector where the OE camera is hardwired. Hope this helps.
A: Installation is free if you do it at Best Buy, but you have to pay for parts (custom brackets, electrical harnesses) , which are suggested by Beat Buy during purchasing of the stereo. Installation of my system took 40 minutes. Best Buy tech was superb! Quality installation work and he went an extra mile and explained primary functions of the system.
