  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: true (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)
    • Operating Sound Level: 45 decibels adjusted (Today's appliances are pretty quiet. To get a sense for how quiet you'll need, think about having a conversation in the same room. Choose from Not as Quiet (56 dBA or higher. You'll likely need to raise your voice); Quiet (50-55 dBA. Need to raise your voice slightly); Very Quiet (43-49 dBA. • End-Of-Cycle Signal: true (An audible alert and/or visual indicator that notifies you when a pre-selected cycle is complete.)

    • Child Lock: true (Setting that allows appliance to be temporarily locked to prevent use.)
    • Filtered Water: false (Internal water filter(s) remove minerals and chemicals from hard water before the wash cycle. Filtered water is less likely to leave mineral deposits or stains, meaning your dishware will look cleaner for longer.)
    • Water Soil Sensor: true (Feature that measures how dirty the water is throughout the wash cycle and adjusts the energy and water usage as needed. This can increase washing efficiency and may reduce energy costs.)
    • Wireless Connectivity: Wi-Fi adapter required (The manner in which a device sends data to another device over a short distance without the use of wires or cables.)

    • Steam Cleaning: true (Wash cycle that primarily uses steam to loosen food debris and clean fragile dishware without force.)
    • Steam Pre-Wash: true (Loosens food debris by creating steam inside the washer before the primary wash cycle, allowing for an easier, gentler clean of dishware.)

Q: Is the filter self cleaning? Is their a grinder that pulverizes food debris?

A: Hi there - Great questions! The ultra-fine and fine filters are not self-cleaning. The filters should be cleaned every other month or more depending on usage. Also, this dishwasher does have a hard food disposer that grinds food particles before they go down the drain. This clears the passage through to the drain and eliminates the need to pre-rinse dishes. Thanks so much for considering Café! -Mikayla

Q: I read one of your answers above, that says this model comes with a brushed bronze handle, which is what I'm looking for. However, it appears in the photo that it's a stainless handle with a bonze ring at the end. Could you clarify this for me? Thanks!!

A: Hi there, thanks for reaching out. Based on the Quick Specs of the unit, which you can see here: https://content.syndigo.com/asset/7b0479b3-5f7d-4a49-9c6d-5924c7f80cb5/original.pdf - The Matte White version comes with a Brushed Bronze handle and the Matte Black and Stainless Steel versions come with a Brushed Stainless handle. Hope this helps to clear things up! Best wishes. -Michael@Cafe

Q: NEw unit less than 4 months old. Repairman out already due to door popping open and not staying closed during cycles. He said it was an installation problem. Had the installer back and was working fine for 3 more weeks. Now it’s doing it again.

A: Oh goodness! That's definitely not something we want anyone to experience and we deeply apologize for any trouble this has caused you. We do encourage you to continue to take advantage of your warranty to schedule repairs. We're confident the tech will have this matter resolved quickly. Take care. Mike@Cafe

Q: Does this need an air vent for the dishwasher?

A: Hello- Thank you for reaching out. We appreciate your question. Some state or local plumbing codes require the use of an air gap between the built-in dishwasher and the drain system of the home. This plumbing device is used to prevent the possibility of back flow into the dishwasher in the event of a clogged drain system. If you have any questions in the future, please let us know. We are here to help! Joyce@Cafe

Q: Does this just plug into the wall

A: Hi - Thank you so much for your interest in this beautiful Café dishwasher. This unit comes from the factory ready to be wired in directly since it is a built-in product. If you choose to plug it in to an existing wall outlet, you will need the optional accessory power cord to do so. We're confident you will be delighted with this great model. Kind regards - Vikki@Café

A: Hi there, we truly appreciate you taking the time to connect with us and considering this fantastic dishwasher for your home! We are happy to answer this for you. You can learn more about the using the different cycles and see the various time ranges on page 7 of the Use and Care Manual, seen here: https://files.bbystatic.com/KlyE5Qm2CDNJx9%2Bma5bo4Q%3D%3D/979369FB-1BE7-400E-8BC0-ADC2E2D017B5.pdf. -- We sincerely hope that this is helpful for you and would be happy to answer any additional questions you may have.
