Great buy
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This cpu was a big upgrade coming from a ryzen 2600x. It does get hot, so if you get this get a 240mm liquid cooler atleast. I say get the 280mm, but I got the cappelix 100i elite and I'm at 68c on full load at 5ghz. I had to get this cpu because I didn't want to get bottlenecked because I have a 3080. With this cpu and 3080 I'm getting around 80-100 fps in cyberpunk all ultra settings with dlss on quality and rtx psycho. If you can't find a ryzen 5900x reasonably priced get this you won't be disappointed.

best gaming cpu bang for the buck
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.this was made because of the shortage of i9 10900k processors with just a 100mhz drop on the clock. honestly you cant tell the difference between this and the 10900k. just as fast and overclocks smoothly.. paired with my asus rog maximus hero z490 board and i get a smooth 44% overclock with a corsair aio 360 cooler.. cant go wrong as the price keeps dropping and will continue to do so when the new 11th gen comes out. faster than you will ever need gaming.. if youre doing rendering and 3d cad go with the amd threadrippers with the higher core count, but for gaming this is still the best bang for the buck.

10900K vs 10850K = SAVE money!
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. After waiting for some months for 10900K to be available, I was happy to see that 10850K was made available. Clocks 100 MHz lower across the board vs 10900k, miles cheaper and actually available. With also BestBuy's price match, it was a a simple decision. Performance = Super. Haven't tried OC, most likely it will stay stock for a while. Paired up with 2 x 1080TI with 128GB memory! Awesome.

Replacement for failed Ryzen
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I bought this as a replacement for a Ryzen CPU that went bad due to overheating. Not the fault of the CPU, but the case it was in was badly designed for airflow. But it did give me a chance to buy Intel again, which I have on all my other PCs. Paired with a Z490-E MBO along with my 3070 GPU in a Thermaltake Crystal case it all seems to work well so far. I use this PC primarily for work, but it needs to process a lot of data (big data queries) and it does it fast. Occasionally I will use it to play a game like Elden Ring and I have no problems with lag or dropped frames. So overall I am very happy with this purchase.

Fast chip for gaming PC's!
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Mine does 5GHz no sweat. I mostly use the PC for gaming so this suits me perfectly. Go for this instead of the 10900k and save a few bucks.

Great chip
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Paired with a cooler this thing clocks very cool, and runs snappy. Coming from the 7700k, running a 3080 Suprim X, and running benchmark test, it finally seemed that my cpu was bottlenecking my GPU causing problems from what I was expecting. After upgrading to the 10850k and running the benchmark without clocking at all, performance was night and day almost marked 10k higher. Very good buy. I paid $399 for the chip, and compared to other comparable chips these days, it’s well worth the investment.

Q: QuestionDoes this work with MSI - MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI (Socket LGA1200) USB-C Gen1 Intel Motherboard with LED Lighting mother board or not
Asked by eeeeee.
- A:Answer yes

Q: QuestionIf building a power house computer what all would I need? Completely from scratch
Asked by Godzilla.
- A:Answer Depends on what you want to do with the computer. First you will need a really good Power supply. You cannot cheap out on the Power supply. A 850 Watt Power supply or over from a Maker like EVGA should be good for a really good Computer. The CPU depends on what you are a fan of. AMD Ryzen people normally go for when it comes to Multi threaded work. Something like a AMD Ryzen 9 or if you have a big budget, an AMD Threadripper 2920X. For intel, a i9 10900k or a 10850k are also really good high end CPU's if you like intel. The only issue would be getting a GPU, with the current market with GPU's, there is barely any GPU's and if there is some, they charge over $1000+ for a GPU that should cost half of the asking price. If you have any luck, try to find a NVIDA 3080 or a 3090 since those two GPU's are great Overkill GPU's in the market but again getting GPU's are hard to get due to crypto currency farming. For SSD, a 1T M.2 Drive from Samsung is a REALLY good drive to run on your OS on. You will need to find a Motherboard that is able to support M.2 drives so a mid or high end Motherboard would support it. The Makers for the Motherboard, GPU, RAM is up to you on what you like the most. Some people like Asus ROG, some people like MSI, some people love EVGA. everyone is different on that end.

Q: Questiondoes this go well with a MSI - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER 4GB GDDR6 PCI Express 3.0?
Asked by nelly.
- A:Answer I9 seems like overkill with a 1650. They should go great together. I would expect to see an I5 with a 1650, but an I9 would be faster for some tasks and in certain games. If you are questioning compatibility, graphics card and CPU compatibility is rarely an issue. The issue would be with the Motherboard socket/chipset. 10850k will work in nearly any z490 Motherboard.

Q: QuestionSo i just bought this i9-10850k processor, and I cant find anywhere online that says that its compatible with the rx-850 graphics card. Do you know if it is?
Asked by sah1b.
- A:Answer Assuming you meant the RX 580 graphics card, not sure what exactly you mean by compatible, but yes, you can use a RX 580 graphics card in a computer with a 10850k CPU.

Q: QuestionI just bought this processor and upon boot, it’s only running at 4.2ghz, even when I load up a game, it stays at 4.2 ghz. I know this processor should be hitting at least 5ghz out of the box. Is there a bios setting for turbo boosting that isn’t enabled?
Asked by Meteora.
- A:Answer You will need to manually boost for constant boost. Out of the box, it normally runs at 3.6 GHz. But you'll need to make sure you boost slowly and check voltage and temps before trying to boost to 5.2 depends on your motherboard too.
