Q: can this drive be installed into the Asus ROG gaming laptop?
A: Hi, Depends on which, but remember that this would be a PCIe 4.0 drive so do check your system for compatibility as well, and note that these MP600 are currently meant for desktop (heatsinks are not small enough to fit a laptop comfortably without removing the passive heatsink). If you have anything else we can help with, please reach out: support.corsair.com -Art
A: Hi, Yes, this SSD will work in our i7200 system since that motherboard has two PCIe 3.0 M.2 slots (one is used by the SSD included). PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs are indeed backwards compatible with PCIe 3.0. You also have the right idea that since the motherboard does not have PCIe 4.0, then it will not be able to take the advantage of the full PCIe 4.0 speed capabilities. Regardless, this SSD will work fine and transfer at max PCIe 3.0 speeds until installed in a PCIe 4.0 system. Feel free to let us know if you have any more questions, we'd be happy to help: support.corsair.com -Albert
A: The screw comes with your motherboard. I thought the same thing when I tried to install mine.
A: Hi Rjv156, It would depend on whether your system support PCIe NVMe M.2 drives and what speed is supported. Please reach out to our support team, we can help to determine compatibility with you: support.corsair.com -Brian
