    • Speed: 5600 megahertz
    • Latency: 36-36-36-76 (Refers to the amount of time between the moment a memory request is initiated and the moment the request is retrieved by a processor, commonly written as a series of 4 numbers, or timings. Each timing measures the performance of the module according to a specific parameter. Generally, the lower the numbers, the faster the RAM can respond to requests.)
    • CAS Latency: 36 (Column Address Strobe (CAS) Latency refers to the number of clock cycles (for synchronous DRAM) or nanoseconds (for asynchronous DRAM) between the moment an instruction or command is initiated and the moment the data result is available. Generally, the lower the numbers, the better.)

  • Features
    • Buffered or Registered: Unbuffered (Registered (buffered) memory modules are classified by the addition of a register between the memory controller and DRAM modules. When compared to conventional unbuffered (unregistered) memory, this type provides more stability with less electrical load on the controller, making it a common choice for use in robust applications, such as servers.)
    • Data Integrity Check: Non-ECC (Error-correcting code (ECC) memory helps to maintain data integrity within a computer system, protecting it from potential crashes as well as losses or changes to data due to undetected errors. Systems that use ECC have an additional chip on the RAM that acts as the error check.)
    • Memory Channels: Quad (Multi-channel memory increases the rate of data transfer between the DRAM memory and memory controller by adding more channels of communication. The more channels, the more memory bandwidth.)

Q: Any issues running two sets for a total of 64gb, with all four DIMM slots populated on AsusStrixZ790-E. Would this be stable with XMP profile enabled? Memory is on QVL list. Any one having issues with this Dual Channel on any Z790 or even Z690? Thanks!

A: Not sure about 64gb, but running 32gb on the ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI motherboard (DIMM A2|B2) seems buggy if the BIOS memory settings are other than Auto. The PC will not post if XMP is enabled at least for me it doesn't post. Hoping for a motherboard update past BIOS 703 will fix this issue.

Q: What intel motherboards are compatible with DDR5?

A: Most of the 13th and 12th gen motherboards support ddr5 and to make sure it is compatible, go to the manufacturer's website and click support/memory to check which models are supported.

Q: Has anyone put these in an Alienware Aurora R15? Wondering in it works without any problems and able to use XMP.

A: It completely depends on your exact Aurora R15. Mine was not compatible with DDR5 Ram and could only support DDR3. You need to pop your case open and see what is already installed. If your existing slots are DDR5 then I don’t see any issue using these at all.

Q: I wanted to know if this memory kit will be able to work with the new AMD motherboards to go along with the Zen4 (Ryzen 7000 series) CPUs. I have heard mixed things about different memory kits offering some features but not others for the new platform.

A: This memory kit should do well with the new AMD motherboards. AMD has stated that 5600MHz kits are the 'sweet spot' for the new CPUs. The manual that comes with your motherboard (can find them online from the manufacturers' website) should also specify the frequencies it supports.
