I'm not sure why this movie has gotten less than stellar reviews? For the genre that it's in, it does exactly what it supposed to do! It gives you a monster you're supposed to fight, you fight it, and you win. Either way, I enjoy watching this film. One of the reasons is that it's a short film, and doesn't try to be something that it's not. I enjoyed the story, the characters, the acting, the visuals. The Blu-ray looks excellent, And the audio sounds great! I re-purchases this Blu-ray so I can get it in 3-D, and at the time, Best Buy was selling it for a very good price. The downside of this, is that I still don't have a 3-D TV, so I'm sorry, but I can't review this aspect of the disk. It has a number of small featurette's as extras. And I did listen to the audio commentary by the director, which I enjoyed very much. Both 3-D and 2-D are on the same disk. You also may be interested to know, that the movie was actually shot in 3-D, and not converted. Also, that was actually shot in Russia. So what am I saying? I'm saying that if you like this genre of movie, you should really enjoy this one! And I only gave this four stars, because I can't review the 3-D for you. Otherwise, I would give it a five!

Great series available in a 4 disc bluray set. Available with the theatrical and unrated versions plus extra features. The case itself is on the bigger side similar to a Criterion bluray case has a slipcover. Although these aren't full restorations the picture quality is better then the DVDS. These are the best in the series the other spin offs although worth a laugh aren't the origanals. Well worth the $17.99 I paid for them. Pick it up if your a fan of the series.
