So, lets get one thing straight first and foremost. In the world of Fallout, there's been A LOT of stirring up recently and fans have no problem voicing their opinions of either side. One thing any fallout fan can agree on, no matter which game you prefer, is that the armor your character gets to use, find, customize, and build just downright kicks butt!! We've all been there. Scavenging for supplies, then out of no where, stumble upon the Yao Guai or the dreaded Death Claw, or a group of super mutants, and at that point can only WISH we would have just bit the bullet and brought our power armor with us... Now you can display that beloved power armor helmet in your very own home! For that reason, and because it was on sale for $50, I had to have it! It sits a top my main DVD/Blu-Ray shelf next to my entertainment center and is definitely a cool conversation starter. But if it wasn't on sale, there's No Way I would have bought it for the full price of $200! Did I still want it? Yes, of course! But, for that price, there's so many better sound quality bluetooth speakers(and even lower-mid range price point sound bars) you could purchase instead. The box it comes in is gigantic(cool though), but the actual piece is no where near that big. It's smaller than expected, but I will say the overall quality of the build materiel's is surprisingly very good. It doesn't feel cheap at all... And it better Not be if you're paying that full price for the thing! The touchless hand motions are awesome too, and convenient. But, sound quality is definitely where it's lacking. The speaker itself sounds a bit hollow and tinny... not bad if purchasing for a discounted price, but not worth it for over $200 at full price. I wish bass was better incorporated because there's virtually none, but I did notice by positioning the speaker a bit off the edge of whatever it's sitting on, the sound quality does improve. It has nice gripping on the bottom so you'll be rest assured, unless it's ridiculously hanging over the side, it's secure.
Here's the deal, this thing immediately caught my eye when it first came out because I LOVE Fallout 4! I'd say, if you're looking for sound quality and kinda think this is cool, but not really a big fan... Maybe keep looking. If the price is right or if you just want to splurge on something to make your house a little more wonderfully nerdy as a fan, buy it! Do I wish the sound quality was better... Yes. But, I wouldn't be purchasing this product if that was the only thing that was important to me. When I do use it, hearing the T-51 power armor helmet 'fire up' just like in the game never gets old!
