    • Image Sensor Type: CMOS (CCD and CMOS are the two main technologies used in image sensors. CCD, the older of the two types, turns analog light signals into digital pixels. This conversion happens without distortion, resulting in high-quality images. Newer CMOS sensors use transistors at each pixel to move electrical charges. CMOS sensors are typically less expensive, but also require more light to create distortion-free images.)

Capture stunning imagery with the legendary Hasselblad camera and enjoy a smooth flight with omnidirectional obstacle sensing. Every improvement on Mavic 3 sets a higher standard for aerial photography. Fly with Mavic 3 and discover imaging above everything.

  • 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad Camera: Hasselblad L2D-20c aerial camera embeds a professional-grade 4/3 CMOS in an unbelievably compact space. Rigorous Hasselblad standards are applied to both hardware performance and software algorithms, bringing imaging quality to an entirely new level.
  • 12.8 Stops of dynamic range: The 4/3 CMOS sensor comes with a high 12.8-stop dynamic range to retain more details in highlights and shadows, upgrading your work to a professional level.
  • Adjustable aperture: Aperture is adjustable according to the needs of different scenes. In low-light environments, the f/2.8 aperture lets more light in; when the lighting is sufficient, aperture can be adjusted to lower the shutter speed for recording smoother, more natural footage.
  • Wider FOV to see the bigger picture: Weighting less than 13 g, the 24mm equivalent lens not only supports autofocus, it also has a 84° FOV to capture more in every frame.
  • Hasselblad natural colour solution: Mavic 3 features the Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution, which is the result of decades of photographic experience, resulting in vivid, natural colors with the simple press of the shutter.
  • Apple ProRes 422 HQ: The Mavic 3 Cine supports Apple ProRes 422 HQ encoding with a maximum data rate of 3772Mbps. In addition, it also supports a built-in 1TB SSD and 10Gbps lightspeed data cable to further facilitate professional filming and creation.
  • Omnidirectional obstacle sensing: Multiple wide-angle vision sensors onboard work seamlessly with a high performance vision computing engine to sense obstacles in all directions precisely and plan a safe flight route that avoids them.
  • Advanced RTH: Always end on a high note with Advanced RTH. Obstacles along the way back to the home point are easily detected and avoided. With the brand new Advanced RTH, Mavic 3 will automatically figure out the optimal route to avoid obstacles and return to home safely.
  • APAS 5.0: Mavic 3 makes flight more fun than ever with recording that is no longer interrupted by obstacles along the way. When flying, Mavic 3 continually senses objects in all directions and bypasses them quickly and smoothly.
  • Extended flight time: Compared with the previous generation, Mavic 3’s wind resistance has improved by 35%. It also uses motors and propellers with higher energy efficiency along with a high-capacity battery that extends the flight time to 46 minutes.
  • Fly farther, see more: Mavic 3 not only flies farther with a 15km transmission range, it also transmits signals with higher stability and less video lag, offering you greater peace of mind during flight.
  • Extreme precision positioning: The high-precision positioning of Mavic 3 not only ensures clearer long-exposure shots, it also helps record smoother time-lapse videos. In short, it makes Mavic 3 more stable whenever it hovers.
  • QuickShots: Capture cinematic video clips automatically with QuickShots. With just a few taps, Mavic 3 flies a complicated aerial route for a professional-quality shot. Add music, effects, and filters with super-intuitive Story templates so you can share your masterpiece directly to social media.
  • Panorama: Mavic 3 offers DJI’s most advanced panorama mode, with a higher dynamic range and colors that are vivid and incredibly accurate.
  • WiFi 6 QuickTransfer: With the new Wi-Fi 6 protocol, data transmission is even faster, with download speeds reaching up to 80MB/s. Mavic 3 automatically selects the fastest transmission mode based on the wireless environment without switching to Wi-Fi mode manually.
  • FocusTrack: Professional-quality footage is effortless thanks to FocusTrack. This easy-to-use suite of intelligent tracking modes includes Active Track 4.0, Spotlight 2.0, and Point of Interest 3.0, allowing you to unleash your creativity.
  • MasterShots: MasterShots gives users the best shots in any location with just a tap. Simply select your subject, and the drone will film while executing ten different maneuvers in sequence, keeping your subject center-frame and generating a short cinematic video afterward.
  • Hyperlapse: Hyperlapse allowing you to warp time and space for especially stunning footage. Best of all, you can achieve this shot without complex post-processing. Choose from Free, Circle, Course Lock, and Waypoint modes, select the shooting location, and the DJI Fly app will do the rest.

Q: At 28X zoom is it at 1080p or 4K or less.

A: The zoom is using a 1/2 inch instead of the 4/3. It isn’t good quality at all zoomed at 28. It is a digital zoom. I would not shoot pro level past 7x. No it is not 4K. Being said it’s not for photo shoots, the drone needs to be out in (explorer mode) to use it. Further more you cannot adjust the camera just yet this will come in an update in January along with active track and master shot. Things like shutter speed, exposure and etc.

Q: Night time vision or thermal optics?

A: This drone is made for high resolution cinematography with apple pro res so no thermal optics. Night vision is quiet good but mostly useless because you can not fly drone after one hour(or half) of sunset and before one (or half, please check FAA rules) hour of sunrise at least in USA. I don’t know about other countries.

Q: Mavic 3 Cine vs Mavic 3 Fly More. What's the BIG difference between these two products? I get that the Cine Premium comes with the RC Pro (better controller) and it looks like an SD cars, but is there a difference in the actual drone? What am I missing?

A: Dear customer, Thank you for your inquiry. Here are the differences between the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine drone: Takeoff Weight, Video Formats, and Internal Storage. You will see the information on this link: https://www.dji.com/mavic-3/specs Internal Storage Mavic 3: 8 GB (available space is approx. 7.9 GB) Mavic 3 Cine: 1TB (available space is approx. 934.8 GB) Should you need any further assistance, please feel free to contact our DJI support at http://www.dji.com/support, we are always here to help. Best Regards, DJI Support

Q: What are the battery capacities and approximate flight times of the drone?

A: When I fly the Mavic 3 Cine, I typically fly it in Cine mode or Normal. Under normal conditions, mild wind and minimum extra maneuvers, I have been averaging right around 38-40 minutes of actual flight times. The batteries do seem to take a bit longer to charge than those for, say, the Mini 3 Pro. Also of note, once the Mavic 3 Cine gets below 5-6 minutes of displayed battery flight time left, after the first time that it engages its' own RTH, the drone will automatically force itself to land and you cannot override the forced landing. This is an excellent safety feature, however, you should be aware of it engaging and have a "safe place" to land where you can retrieve your drone. The controller is excellent and much better than that with the mini 3 pro.

Q: Is this drone waterproof? I want to be able to fly it in the rain for in-the-rain photography.

A: No, it’s not. If you want a drone for rain, you’d have to spend $13k on a DJI M30, which is not for photos.
