A: According to the description of this listing on the Bethesda store, it will be redeemable only on the Bethesda Launcher: https://gear.bethesda.net/products/doom-eternal-collectors-edition#imageThumb "The PC Version of the game will come with a printed code and the code is redeemable on Bethesda.net." Although this is the collector's edition, I'm sure this applies to the standard edition as well.

A: You can play offline, there is a campaign mode. The main difference between the versions include extra skins/weapons etc. and the higher end versions have goodies. Other than that, the game is pretty much the same. If you are a big fan, go for the extra’s, depending on your budget!

A: Anyone saying you will need a CD drive is incorrect. The Physical copies of the game will ship with a printed code for the BethesdaNet launcher, you will redeem and download the game VIA the stated launcher.
