Great game, especially for fans of the first game!
From Bioware, makers of the Mass Effect series and classic games such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, this medieval fantasy RPG will appeal to old-school RPG fans, as well as bring in new blood. The storyline is deep and keeps pace well, with plenty of action in the combat and comedy in the character interaction. The music is great, and really melds with the overall feel of the game. The cutscenes are epic and highly detailed, with great voice acting as well. The game comes with a graphical bug or two, but nothing game threatening. I highly suggest picking this one up.

Great Game
Definitely different than the first one, and with much better graphics. Has the option of importing choices you made in the first one to influence characters. Story incorporates several people/themes from the first Dragon Age (quanari, Flemeth, Zevran and Oghren reappear) with mentions of King Alistair), but with a different twist and more politicized quests. A decent number of different cities/areas with a new twist of visiting during the day or night. This is a different game than DA1, so it takes a little getting used to before you're really 'involved' in the storyline. They improved on a lot of things, including skill/talent menus, and your character can speak now. All in all, I liked it, and was glad I bought it.

The first one was better but this one still rocks
The first Dragon Age was iconic. If you played it, then you know. From Cosplay freaks to hardcore gamers, this game probably cost World of Warcraft a few months of revenue. The 2nd Dragon Age was certainly a good game. Just not quite as fulfilling as the first one. Its as if they slapped it together to meet the demand of potential sales, which is NOT the goal people. Bioware needs to consider the loyalty of the fans before the regurgitate another game like Dragon Age 2. It could've been SO much better if they had just given the fans what they wanted - another one like the original. Why go changing a good thing? If it isn't broken don't fix it. Let's consider the greats. The GTA franchise. Why are they so successful? All the games are the same at their core. They make improvements on graphics and story line. That's it. They don't go changing the entire feel and look of the game like Dragon Age 2 did. Example 2 - The Dead Space franchise. Same explanation as GTA. Example 3 - Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide. Same EXACT feel and the story picked up EXACTLY where the first left off. A SLAM DUNK. Come on Bioware. Pay attention to the trends. If its revenue you're after just do what the past winners have done. You can still maintain originality and produce iconic games without copying the aforementioned. You don't have to sell yourselves short and merely sell out as it may seem that I'm suggesting. Just give the people what they want. It was obvious the writers of the game were still burnt out from making the first one. And that's why a 3rd will never sell as well as the 1st....unless you go back and make another in the same way as the first and use engines similar the those that created games like Uncharted, Tomb Raider, The Last of Us, Thief, Dishonored. Catching my point?
