- A:Answer Combination and stair tool, turbine attachment. The turbine is for getting up animal hair. One tool is for stairs and the other is kind of an extension with a soft brush attachment. I use that one for delicate items such as my glass television stand.

Q: QuestionIs the motorhead on this powered by the moving air or a separate motor in the head?It is not clear how the carpet brush is powered in the description. Does the head have its own electric motor driving the brush, or is it using the passing air from the vacuum to turn the brush?

- A:Answer Hi DP. It's Vince with Dyson. The rotating brush used to clean the carpet is powered by the suction of the vacuum itself. The turbine powered brush bar can be deactivated for sensitive flooring and carpets. - A:Answer Hi Sloslo9109. Thank you for your interest in the Cinetic Animal Canister. Dyson machines when purchased new come with a 5 year manufacturer warranty. The 5 year manufacturer limited warranty is in effect from the original date of purchase, which covers the vacuum for both parts and labor for manufacturer defect, when used for private household purposes in accordance with the owner manual. Q: QuestionI only have hardwood floors or tile, no installed carpet. I do have several wool or fragile smaller carpets. How well will this canister work on these? Do the included attachments work for upholstery, lampshades, louverdrapes and under low furniture?

- A:Answer Hi Annie, This is Carissa with Dyson. Our Cinetic Animal Canister comes with a stair tool and combination tool, and of course the turbine head. We would recommend the Flat out tool or the Articulating Hard Floor for those specialty smaller carpets. We do have a Mattress tool for upholstery and lampshades.
