A: There are many holes on the bottom and vertical vents on the side. The basket is removable. Otherwise it would be impossible to clean up the bottom of the pan.
Q: Is it easy to clean? Are all of the removable parts dishwasher-safe?
A: I dont have a dishwasher so I cant comment on that but parts are super easy to take apart and clean.
A: I think the pan is painted (and possibly coated) steel. Not stainless as far as it looks.

A: No it Automatically goes off when you open the door. We have used it hundreds of time’s without any problems.
A: It does not have a self-cleaning function (that would be cool). But it's pretty easy to clean. The inside is some kind of stainless steel, so it doesn't take much scrubbing to get it clean. Just use hot water and soap.
