A: MAX 3 only has a forward facing radar receiver. Radar uses radio waves which reflect off of objects. Because of this all radar detectors can alert to radar from behind. The advantages to a detector like MAX 360 are: 1) directional arrows which point towards the radar source, and 2) superior detection of radar being shot from behind you.
A: Well, C isn't life is full of irresponsible LE interactions with the citizenry it works for... that the VA citizens have failed to reign in their LEs over this abuse of power just cuz the nice LEs can park and hide to use their expensive taxpayer paid radar speed gun(s) so the nice LEs can generate revenue from the poor working class citizenry ~ mainly out of state drivers who pay the fine and not challenge the ticket in court! A: Yes it has voice alerts in English and Spanish languages.
Q: Is there a sun visor mounting option ? Like the visor clip on older Escorts ?
A: Get yourself a BlendMount mount for your vehicle. They connect to your rearview mirror arm and keep it tucked up tight to your mirror.
Q: Does the Max3, Max360 and Max 360c all have the same power cord?

Q: Is the Max 3 powered by cord only or can it be powered by battery. I want a true cordless detector.
A: It is powered by cord that plugs into your vehicle's cigarette lighter adapter. I am not aware of any true cordless detectors available.
Q: What color is the display? can you adjust it. blue to red?
A: It is a multi-color display. You can change it to blue, red, amber, or green.
Q: Just bought the Max 3. Do you need the smart chord live to connect to the live app & full features?
A: No. The included SmartCord is only needed to power the unit. The Bluetooth chip, which connects to the Escort Live app, is inside the detector itself.
