I'll keep this short and simple. Fallout 3 and Oblivion are two of the best games to have been dropped in recent history. Yes, they're a little old, but they are still incredibly deep games that will provide you with hundreds of hours of fun, and that's without DLC. Buying the individual GOTY versions is cheaper in the long run, but for those just trying out Bethesda's style of RPG mastery, you can't go wrong with this.
*PARENTS, READ THIS PART* These games are rated "M", meaning you're supposed to be 17 or older in order to buy it. If your child is 16 or under and need you to buy this game for them, do know that in Fallout, you can shoot limbs off people and blow their heads into tiny bits. There are many adult themes and overtones in this game, and they are not appropriate for younger players.
