Fun, if you liked Fallout 3 this is perfect.
I had a lot of fun playing through New Vegas, I beat the game but i just want to go back and do more of the side missions and try a new path!
It's great how you can chose who you want to side with, Vegas, the NCR, the legion, or be a "wild card" my first time through i was going to go wild card but i encountered something (no spoilers) and i switched to Vegas and it was great!
For people who beat Fallout 3 on at least normal difficulty i suggest playing this on hard or harder, also the hardcore mode is pretty intense.
With a large variety of weapons armor and items there is so much you can do, it took me somewhere around 40 hours to beat it and i did very few side missions i didn't even explore 50% of the locations!
The one problem i had was a couple of glitches now and then but with Bethesda releasing patches there shouldn't be any real problems.
Great game highly recommend it, and if you do get it one of the best "Wow" moments for me was in Vault 11

It's getting better with the fixes
After Fallout 3 I just had to get Fallout New Vegas. Lots of new things and some fun surprises. It might be my setup but the first few days the freezes and glitches and crashes had me to the breaking point. Then some fixes came out and the game play became fun again.
I love the gun mods and the ammo choices, I wish they had set up the inventory into catagories so that trading would be easier, but other than that I love it.
I would have given 5 stars but it needs fixes.

Wonderful Adventures In The Wasteland
PC version is great fun. This is more than a worthy successor to Fallout 3. Within minutes Fallout New Vegas will start to work a spell on you and lead you into a journey through an enormous and varied desert wasteland. You create your own character and nothing in the game is necessarily linear. You can go where you want, do what you want, be who and what you want. The music is spectacular. More thrills, great non player characters, wonderfully violent action, and a unique setting in a future desolated Las Vegas and its' desert surroundings should keep you busy way into the new year. This PC version uses the Steam client and it works great. The Steam client will install itself easily and does not intrude upon you , your files, or your life in any way, Steam is a better way to purchase downloaded content than some other games offer. Bethesda has issued a patch to fix all the little things that buyers were complaining about when the game was released. A famous singer plays "Mr. Vegas" the host of one of the radio stations and he is excellent. He adds a great deal to the game and he recorded hours and hours of dialogue for his role.
