Q: How many square feet does this item cover?
A: I have a master bedroom w/ an addition and my room stays at a decent temp. 144 sq ft

Q: Does it come with a remote control?
A: no it does not, however, the controls are simple and the product is well worth the money
Q: Is it expensive to use? Electric bill go up?
A: It goes up very little but the Gas bill went down a significant amount.
A: Yes stay cool to the touch all around. The warm air blows out from the bottom.
Q: Is this heater safe enough when children are around?
A: If you have youngsters that behave and do what they are told and shown, and you don't have it in the middle of their play area, I would think it would be ok. Your decision, but it would all depend on your placement and showing them not to go near it, explain why and the age of the children.
A: No. There is no option for heat only. A sign on top states not to cover the heater.
