Q: My mother and I had just bought this ice maker around May 21st, this year(2021), I believe. The ice maker no longer works? It runs but no ice is made. The metal spools are room temperature. I'm not sure what to do. What do I do?

A: JuJudy - Sorry this is not a answer just the same problem. We purchased this ice maker July 2020, loved it, but ran into the same issue as you and your Mom, it stopped making ice February 2021. Called the hotline and they were great, sent them pictures, videos, cut the cord, removed labels and they sent us another machine March 2021. Worked great, but now have the same problem, stopped making ice August 2021. We love the ice maker but what good is it, if it doesn't last.

Q: Does it have to be connected to the water source ?

A: Just plug the unit in, add water and enjoy a batch of ice.

Q: The ice seems pretty wet (actually dripping) so even when I transfer immediately to my freezer - because of the moisture, the ice all sticks together. Is this supposed to happen?

A: I transfer the ice to a zip top bag and put it in the freezer. After it has been in the freezer for a little bit, I knock the bag on the counter to break it up and then I put it in my ice container in the freezer to use. Works great. If I'm trying to store ice for later, I store it in the zip top bag and hit it on the counter and leave it in the freezer.

Q: Can you use this ice maker to make frozen cubes from liquids other than water? For example, lemon juice or apple juice? Would that damage the ice maker?

A: Since you just pour liquid into the unit I would say any liquid would be fine. Personally, I would run a batch of regular cubes with just water afterward to flush out anything like sugars that might gum up the cube delivery mechanism.

Q: Can I keep the ice maker on and running 24/7?

A: Hey there! Thank you for taking the time out to provide the correct information. -Lauren

Q: Is this available in your Evansville in store on burkharkstore

A: Hey there, Paula! So that you are able to get the correct information pertaining to inventory, we recommend reaching out to your local BestBuy specialists at your convenience. -Ciara
