Q: Will it work in a semi? And what accessories come with it?
A: I have mine installed in a 2020 Freightliner, it works perfectly. It is small enough that the sun visor will cover it. It takes up less space then my pre-pass does. Voice control isn't the best in the truck due to the noise level but it does work, you may have to yell! I have the Garmin app installed on my tablet and can watch the videos or live stream right to the tablet. I also bought a larger SD card (256GB) as this will now keep one and half days of video.
A: While this Dash Cam does not include night vision capabilities, it will record video of what is illuminated by the vehicle headlights.
A: You’ll need to get a larger memory such as a 256 gb or 512 gb. Using a larger memory will save your video for a little longer before it overwrite and that will give you some time to review and save what you need.
Q: Which SDcard comes with the unit? Which is largest GB card it supports?
A: A 16 GB microSD™ is included (supports up to 512 GB, Class 10 or faster).
Q: Does this have image stabilization?
A: No, the Dash Cam 47 doesn't include an image stabilization feature.
Q: How does this mount to the windshield? Suction cup??
A: It uses a small piece of steel that is double sided taped to the windshield. The Garmin mount has a strong magnet on the base that holds it to the steel. Easier to remove the dash cam with the magnet setup then the old suction cup type. Just be sure to clean the spot on your window where the steel will attach. Mine has never fallen off yet.
