Q: Do I need to purchase a screen protector or charger separate from the watch?
A: Charger is included. A screen protector is not.
Q: Can you use Garmin pay or Apple pay with this device?
A: You need the ‘Plus’ model for music and Apple Pay. The Fenix 5S does not support those features, but the Fenix 5S Plus does.
Q: Is this model ok for swimming?? Does it track all the data for open water swims?
A: Yes, this smartwatch can be used while swimming and the device tracks your distance, pace, stroke count and more.
Q: Does this watch keep track and report sleeping patterns?
A: Yes. And the more you wear it to sleep the better it gets at automatically tracking sleep patterns.You don't even have to tell it your going to sleep :)
Q: Will this watch show elevation when hiking? Or is this only for running.
A: yes. I shows elevation as well.
A: It will track your heart rate any time you are wearing it. However, sweat and some arm positions tend to create poor accuracy on the wrist HR monitor. If you are doing non-cardio gym workouts, you will have better accuracy using a chest strap. The watch should automatically pick it up.
