Q: Does this range have a control lock to prevent it being accidentally turned on?

A: Hello zaneyshopper - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. Yes, this JS750DFWW 30:" Slide-in Front Control Electric Convection Range offers a control lockout feature which prevents the control panel pads from activating when pressed. I hope this helps!

Q: Is the cooktop on the JS750DFWW a solid black color? In some photos it looks like it has some sort of gray pattern over the black. I’m looking for a solid black surface without a pattern other than the circle outline for the burners.

A: Hi Jjm- Thanks for considering our GE® JS750DFWW! No, the range has a White Patterned Black Ceramic Glass Cooktop. Thanks for checking with us! SUEatGEA

Q: Does the range require a exhaust outlet for connection or does the fan at the back just exit out the vent at the top of the oven? I assume that it does not require a separate exhaust vent, but not sure.

A: This particular unit does not require an exhaust outlet. I do not have one in my kitchen and this unit has worked great since I purchased and installed it. It is perfect for my needs and I would recommend it.

Q: Does the top of the range sit flush with the wall? I looked at the unit at the store and it appeared there was a gap.

A: There is a slight gap to accommodate the electrical connection. But it includes a metal spacer that attaches to the back to eliminate the space so things don't fall behind it.

Q: Can you cook with cast iron pans on this range? Thank you.

A: Hello Annie. This is RICHARDatGEA. Cast Iron cookware is not recommended with theJS750SFSS. If the cookware has a burr or rough spot, it will scratch the glass surface. Additionally, it is slow to absorb heat. Once this type of cookware heats up, especially on high heat, it holds an intense amount of heat which is transferred to the cooktop. This can cause the element to shut down as a response to the temperature limiters which indicate surface temperature is too high for cooktop components to handle. Thanks for the question.

Q: Can this stove be set (the feet on it screw up slightly) to 36.50 inches rather than 36.25. That extra quarter of an inch would be helpful here.

A: Hi - This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for considering our GE Slide-in Range! The legs can be adjusted to 36 1/2"H. We suggest to view the Installation Instructions at the following link: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-10836-2.pdf- Thanks for checking with us!

Q: 40 amp or 50 amp circuit required?

A: Hi sproot-this is Sue from GE Appliances. A 208V (9.5 KW) or 240V (12.6 KW) 40 Amp Circuit is required. We encourage you to view the Installation Instructions for details and check local codes: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-10836-1.pdf- Thanks for checking with us!

Q: Does autoclean function require pulling it away from wall?

A: Hello Nancy, This is Joyce from GE Appliances. I will be happy to help! When setting a self-clean cycle or a steam clean cycle the oven doesn't need to be moved. It is just a matter of selecting the functions on the control panel and following the instructions if you want to do the steam clean. Thanks so much for checking with us. Have a good day!
