Great Smart Plug
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I bought these to replace some cheap one's I bought off Amazon that quit working. I wanted to go with a better brand. When I went to setup, I began running into the same issues I did with the cheap brand. They would not connect. I finally found out it was because my phone was on lower power mode. Unfortunately, I was unable to find this information through Cync's support, so it took much longer to figure it out. After that, they have worked well, but the app is a little weird and not as intuitive as others I have used.

Replaced my old X10 system with this
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I have several of these that control lights around the house and holiday lights. The APP takes some digging in order to set everything up but works well after that. Once in a while if you want to shut off lights early the APP is a little stubborn so I shut it down and restart it to get it going again.

Posted .Hi AdanG369, if your plug is not maintaining a reliable connection we recommend ensuring the device is within 40ft of your Wi-Fi router and connected to a wall outlet. If your device is within range we recommend factory resetting the plug by holding down the button on the right side of the plug until the LED light goes red. After that, you will need to pair the plug again in the Cync app. If the issue persists please contact us at 1-844-302-2943. -Cync Support Team

Q: QuestionHow many light bulbs can you connect to one plug to work as the cross between to Alexa? And does the plug have to be close to where the lights are being used? Thank you!

- A:Answer Ultimately I ended up with 8 lights connected via WiFi through the bridge. You may be able to add more but I haven't yet. As long as it's within 20-30 feet of your first bulb and your first bulb is within 20-30 feet of the next, etc then you should be fine. They create a Bluetooth mesh network where one device acts as an extended to the next. There is a small amount of additional latency for every step though. My furthest bulb was in a closet through 3 poured concrete walls about 90' from the bridge. However I had another light in my bedroom lamp about 10' and 1 doorway away from that closet...and then another hallway light 15-20' from the bedroom light etc. It all worked fine and they responded to voice commands within a second or 2.

Q: QuestionWould this smart plug work for a window ac unit. I have a very lo tech window unit that needs to be manually switched on and off and was hoping to get a smart plug so it auto turns on during the hottest times of the day. Voltage of the ac unit is 115V
