Q: My parents are older have hard time bending over is the bottom oven hard to get to? If you open the door all the way is it on the floor?

A: The bottom door is nearly on the floor when completely open and would present a challenge for someone with limited mobility. However, I have found that I use the upper oven almost exclusively, and it allows bend-free access (I'm 5'4", taller people might have a different experience). It's more roomy than you might expect; you won't be roasting a family-sized turkey in the space, but game hens are no problem. Additionally, the smaller oven preheats very quickly, and I think it's more energy efficient, too.

Q: Is the oven window a smoked glass or clear?

A: Hi lgirl- The outer glass door is tinted. An ON/OFF switch operates the oven light. This allows you to turn on the oven light and look through the window at the food without having to open the door. Q: Can lower oven also be used as a TRADITIONAL BAKING oven -- or is it strictly CONVECTION?

A: Hi - Yes, the lower oven features Bake (Traditional), Convection Bake, Convection Roast, and Broil Hi/Lo modes. The upper oven features Bake (Traditional), Broil Hi/Lo and Warm modes. In the lower oven, enjoy perfectly even results without turning the pan with True European Convection with Precise Air. Q: What material is the stovetop made of? Does it scratch easily? Will it hold up with years of use?

A: Hi EConcepcion - Thanks for considering GE Profile Model PB960SJSS! Our glass cooktops are made of a durable, scratch-resistant glass ceramic material. They are not scratch proof, so it is important to use the proper cookware and follow proper cleaning procedures. Porcelain coated cast iron cookware can be used on the glass cooktop as long as the cookware is covered completely with porcelain enamel. Caution is recommended when using cast iron cookware that is not completely covered with smooth porcelain enamel, as it may scratch the glass ceramic cooktop.
