A: None that I've found so far. GE needs to provide a compatible model. Shouldn't have to rip out your cabinets and start over.
A: Hi Tom - We certainly appreciate your loyalty! Model PSB9240SFSS can be installed in the same cabinet with JX2201 storage drawer (sold separately). This allows for retrofit into previous 240V Advantium (SCB2000/1) wall oven outlet. We suggest viewing the Installation Guide at the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-40690-2.PDF - Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. A: Comparing your current JEB1055 model to the PSB9240SFSS model, they both have the same cutout width of 25-1/4” and height of 17-1/2” for standard installation. However, your current model only requires a 17” minimum depth cutout, while the PSB9240SFSS model requires a 23-1/2” depth cutout. If your cabinet depth meets the 23-1/2” cutout depth requirement, this model would be a great fit. We recommend measuring your cutout space to ensure compatibility. For more information, check out the Installation Instructions on the GE Appliances website.
A: Hi - Thank you for reaching out to us. Your original Advantium is a 240 volt unit which we no longer offer. Any of our over-the-range style microwaves will fit in the same space. They do operate on 120 volts so you will need to provide the proper voltage and outlet. You will also need to use the mounting bracket and hardware packaged with the new unit. Here are a couple of models you might have interest in Profile models PVM9215SKSS, PVM9179SRSS or GE model JVM7195SKSS. We hope you find this helpful. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA
A: Hi - Thank you for your interest in our Profile Advantium wall oven. We apologize for any confusion we may have created with the listed specifications. This unit requires 240 volts and a 30 amp circuit breaker or fuse to operate properly. We will make our dealer partner aware of this issue with the specifications and appreciate you letting us know. We hope this great model will work for you. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA
A: Hi - Thank you for reaching out to us and for your interest in a new built-in Profile Advantium oven. Our current model is a PSB9240SFSS. There have been changes to the cutout dimensions needed for the new model. The new models are more streamlined and don't require the same size cutout as your existing model so be sure to review the installation instructions thoroughly to see what changes would be needed. We hope you find this helpful. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA
A: Preheating is not necessary when using the 240-volt Advantium unless you're using the convection bake mode. Even then, there's no way to provide an exact length of time to preheat as there are several variables that may impact the preheat time such as the temperature of the room, the starting temperature of the Advantium oven and more. On average, you can expect it to take approximately 8-10 minutes for the oven to preheat.
A: The PSB9240SFSS would be the closest comparable model in terms of electrical requirements. That said, the cutout that was required for your existing model is larger than what is needed for the new models. The new model require a cutout opening of 17 1/2"H x 25 1/8"W x 23 1/2"D.
