Q: If I have dimmable LED bulbs, can I use my Google assistant to dim the lights with this switch, or does it only power on and off?

A: No, this particular switch only performs on and off functions. You need model 14294 GE - Z-Wave Plus Wireless Smart In-Wall Dimmer Switch in order to dim bulbs. Keep in mind these are the z-wave switches which require an additional hub to work with Google assistant. The GE C-start Wi-Fi switches so not need an additional hub.

Q: If I have an outlet created from a pre existing lightswitch and replace the switch with this new z wave switch will it give constant power to use the outlet when i turn the lights off?

A: Depends on how you wire the outlet to the switch. If you put the "line power" for the outlet on the "load" side of the switch, the oulet will turn on and off with the switch. If you put the "line power" for the outlet on the secondary lug of the line power on the switch, the outlet will have constant power. Always consult a licensed electrician.

Q: Does this work with Samsung SmartThing hub control?

A: Sure does I pairs using the SmartThings phone app and then you can control it via the app or Alexa or whatever.

Q: Can these be used in a 4-way configuration?

A: Hi Mike, great question! Yes, you can. For a 4-way application, you will require one primary switch (14291) and 3-add on the auxiliary switch (12723).
