A: You can use it for any GoPro camera. I currently use it with the GoPro hero 7 black

Q: Does this work with the hero5 black?

A: Definately, I've been using mine with my hero 5 black

Q: Does this work with HERO Session 5?

A: Yes that's the exact camera I have and use, it also adapts to other systems.

A: It is very stiff at first to rotate the camera -- however, that also makes it a very stable filming platform.
