Five Finger Death Punch is one of those metal bands that gets a lot of commercial success, but a lot of haters in the metal industry. I don't really understand it. Sure they have become super commercial sounding and some of their songs are over the top (F bombs over and over), but for the most part, they have some really heavy sick songs! And they are super good at writing ballads! This cd is no different. I read one of their interviews about it and they said something along the lines of "This one is kinda in the middle when it comes to being heavy vs ballads. It doesn't go too far one way or the other". Its totally true! All the songs are like mild rock n roll rockers. Not a ton of screaming. And no real ballads. (Which is fine!) I really enjoyed it. The main single (jerkyll/hyde) had me skeptical. I HATED that song the first little while. But now I love it. Just buy the cd already. Its a good one

Got Your Six [Deluxe Version] [PA]: Release Notes: Muze Producers: Five Finger Death Punch; Kevin Churko.Engineers: Jason Hook; Kane Churko; Kevin Churko.Audio Mixer: Kevin Churko.Recording information: Head First Studio, Louisville; Hideout, Las Vegas; Leopards Nest.Photographer: Jason Swarr.Five Finger Death Punch are one of the most popular alt-metal bands with three gold records, enviable radio play, and sold-out tours. Their instantly recognizable sound is comprised of equal parts melodic yet meaty guitar riffs, fat vamps, catchy hooks with tight guitar solos, grooving bass, and drums, with Ivan Moody's half-sung/half-growled -- and always angry -- vocals on top. That sound has been pervasive on every album and Got Your Six is no different. Recorded and co-produced by Kevin Churko, it's a tad slicker and bigger than its predecessors. While the first two singles, "Jeckyll and Hyde" and

It's definitely worth getting the deluxe edition as "I Apologize" is one of my favorite tracks..plus you get a free t-shirt (code which you use to order online, s+h is extra). This album is definitely a step in the right direction for the band as I feel the last couple releases sounded a bit more complacent. I like the fact that they are shaking it up a bit more, adding some flavor from "The Way Of The Fist" but still keeping a lighter side and showcasing Ivan Moody's amazing vocal talents. Interested to hear where they go from here.

Very glad that i bought this album. Songs hit hard and Moody's voice is as fantastic as ever. This album starts with a bang with my two favorites; Got Your Six and Jekyll and HIde. Album has a lot of heavy hitting songs mixed with some softer songs. Deluxe version includes a redeemable t-shirt. Couple of dollars for shipping, but I love it. Features the album artwork on the front, black shirt, nothing on the back. Enjoy!

FFDP has a history of great Hard Rock / Metal music, and this album is a continuation of that high standard of quality music. This album has more melodic instrumentals than previous albums, giving it a slightly softer feel, yet a more defined and refined momentum. Recommended for anyone who is a fan of Avenged Sevenfold, Killswitch Engage, Disturbed, and / or Bullet for My Valentine.

I love this CD. FFDP has become a favorite band of mine. Since listening to their music from their 1st CD release to this one, I can say I can listen to each one over and over again. I love every song from every CD and this one is no different. I love that they keep releasing so much great music without having to wait so long. Get Got Your Six. I got. 2. One for the car and one for the house.

With their new release Five Finger Death Punch haven't re-written the book on their genre. Instead they have continued to grow to new heights and radio success. If you enjoy any of their last three albums this one is for you. I have been a fan since before the way of the fist was officially released and have enjoyed watching them grow and push the boundaries of their sound.

I have been a huge 5FDP fan ever since I heard their first album. This album returned to their harder side as their last album was a slower departure from the head banging and yelling anthems that has become common ground for this band. Their music can be intense for some, but if you like metal or hard rock I highly recommend this album to you.
