Think I'm done with this brand
||Posted .I originally bought a Hisense 43" 4k (cannot remember the model exactly) in 2016. It lasted three years before large blue spots were burning into the screen in random areas. Hisense (at the time), had a nice long factory warranty, and the process to exchange it was alright. They sent me a new one, and that model lasted three years before it wouldn't power on. Fast forward to a few days ago, and I purchase this model. Unfortunately, they don't seem to have a longer warranty period for their TVs anymore (probably considering they don't seem to last but three years). Fortunately, Best Buy has their own 5 year you can buy, which I did for this sole reason. After getting home and setting up everything, I notice immediately that there are faint grey lines in a ripple pattern, almost as if a giant pressed their finger onto the panel and left a massive fingerprint. They start in a single point, and grow outward in a circle. It's not very noticeable on darker images, but certainly on brighter/lighter ones. There was also a cluster of dead pixels in the upper right corner. Fast forward to today, and I return the TV for an identical model. After getting home and setting up the second one, sure enough, another "ripple" effect on the panel. This time, it's in two places and somehow worse than the first TV... but hey, at least no dead pixels. This weird ripple blemish isn't on the outside of the panel to where you can just wipe it off but looks to be inside the screen itself. It's hard to see on camera, but very prominent in person. It doesn't help too that it moves around as you turn your head in any direction. I'm going to have to make a third trip and try to find an alternative, because it's way too distracting. Factoring in this annoyance, as well as the fact they don't seem to last all that long on top of them doing away with their longer warranties, I can't recommend this model or brand anymore.

Hisense Is Lacking Support for this model
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.My only problem with this TV is in customer support. Hisense does not have this model listed on its website. The best piece of documentation is the Quick Start paper included with the TV. If you need more documentation, it is unavailable for this model (43R6G). The user's manuals are not specific to the models; they are specific to the Roku software. The second problem this created was when I tried to program it to my Logitech Harmony Companion Remote. Since the model is not listed, I had to pick a model that appeared to be similar: 43R7G5. It took hours of trial and error, but I finally got everything to work. It was a frustrating process, but the result is great.

My new TV!

The biggest disappointment I have is the complexity of the set-up process. The manufacturer assumes that the new owner of this TV is familiar with this modern technology. For someone who has never owned a computer and is not tech-savvy, much of the terminology used is unfamiliar to me.

Not the best product but it does its job well enough. Very easy to download streaming apps and surprisingly good audio from the tv speakers.

Old guy meets TV

- A:Answer The bottom of the tv is about 38 inches across while, in the front, the legs are about 32-33 inches apart depending on where you measure from. They're a bit closer to each other in the back as they're slanted out from back to front.
