A: Hi RAM! After doing some research, there is a range of room sizes, typically 500-700 square feet, that a 14,000 BTU Air Conditioner claims it is able to cool. The square feet that the Honeywell Portable Air Conditioner states it can cool attempts takes into account various external factors, such as the "tightness" of a room and number of windows. It is difficult to say exactly what size room any air conditioner can cool because there are always variables that affect how the unit will perform. I hope this was helpful!

A: The amperage draw on this unit is 10.5 Amps.
A: Strange question since I'm only a person who purchased one and not the manufacturer... The "Wiring" needs to be able to handle 10.5 Amps. and 115 Volts at a Frequency of 60 Hertz.

A: Hello ! Our portable air conditioners work on self evaporation and they do not need to be drained unless operating in very humid conditions. Continuous drain should not be used in cooling mode, but only when using the unit strictly as a dehumidifier. A: The exhaust hose that is included with the unit measures 10.6 inches and can be extended to 59 inches. The exhaust hose should be installed as per the instructions given in the manual( without any bends, and placed at least 20 inches (50 cm) away from the wall). So as long as you are able to meet these requirements, the unit can be vented through skylight venting.
